We began serving Austin in 1997 with a team of just a pharmacist and a technician. Since then, we have expanded our store, expanded our services, and expanded our pharmacy family - all to better serve you.

OUR TEAM
Jon Engelhardt
Owner & Pharmacist
Jon is the owner and manager of Austin's Medicap Pharmacy. Originally from northern Minnesota, he attended North Dakota State University and graduated from the College of Pharmacy in 1982. Jon and his wife, Ginger, moved to Austin in 1986 where he was a pharmacist at Sterling Drug for 10 years. Jon opened Medicap in 1997 with one technician. Even though Jon dedicates most of his time to his business, he does enjoy spending time with his family, going camping, walking with his dogs, and reading.
Kaye Hansen
Pharmacist
Kaye is one of our pharmacists here at Medicap. She graduated from Austin High School in 1993 and attended South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy. Compounding is a favorite pharmacy specialty for Kaye Outside of the pharmacy, she enjoys spending time with her husband Corey and three children as well as being outdoors on their family farm south of Austin. She also volunteers at her church and as a 4H leader.
Chris Meyer
Pharmacist
Chris is a pharmacist here at Medicap. Originally from Nebraska, he earned his doctorate of pharmacy at University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. He enjoys growing pharmacy services such as immunizations, diabetic care medication therapy management, and compounding. Outside of the pharmacy, Chris spends time with his wife Terri and their four kids and likes to go boating, walking, and hunting.
Susie
Pharmacy Tech Manager
Susie is our pharmacy tech manager and our all-around go-to person here at Medicap. When she's not here with us, she loves spending time with her two sons and one grandson. She also enjoys baking, finding good deals at flea markets and thrift shops, walking, and just spending time outdoors.
Amber
Pharmacy Technician
Amber began her career with Medicap as a Pharmacy Technician in April of 2017. She grew up here in Austin and graduated from Austin High School in 2004. In October 2022 she married her husband Jeremy at his family church in Waltham, MN. Together they have 2 beautiful daughter's Justice and McKenzee. Jeremy also has a son Kolyn. Outside of work Amber enjoys spending time with her family. She also loves traveling to the UP of Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and many towns in Minnesota to visit her and Jeremy's aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tasha
Pharmacy Technician
Tasha has worked at Medicap since 2010 as a pharmacy tech. She specializes in packaging medications for the group homes, as well as preparing the in-home compliance packs. Tasha enjoys spending time with her husband Paul and their children Kody and Leigha.
When not busy working, she keeps busy running the kids to either dance or bowling events.
Lynn
Pharmacy Technician
Lynn has been a tech for about 5 years. She is also certified to administer vaccines.

Lynn is a huge fan of the MN Vikings, any murder mystery show, bonfires, and always enjoys watching her boys in their sports. (favorite season is fall!)
Oralia
Cashier
Oralia is one of our cashiers at Medicap. We are grateful for her great customer service and her bilingual skills as she assists many of our Spanish-speaking patients. Oralia enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, and her pet bunny and dogs. She's also an excellent cook, and we love the dishes she brings to share!
Brenda
Cashier
Brenda is a cashier here at Medicap. Whether you need help at the drive-thru or finding something in store, she is always ready to help. When she's not at Medicap, Brenda enjoys spending time with her five children and two grandsons, as well as growing flowers in her yard and spending time outdoors.
Daryl "Champ"
Delivery Driver
Champ is a life-long Austin resident and is one of our delivery drivers here at Medicap. He previously retired from Hormel Foods. He is a proud step-father to Lenise; he and
his wife Judy have grand- and
great-grandchildren who are
the joys of their lives. His passion is archery hunting and has hunted in Alaska and most of the western mountain states successfully. Champ likes to occupy any spare time with a little golf!
Jack
Delivery Driver
Jack has joined our team as one of our delivery drivers. He lives in Austin, where he was born and raised. In his free time, he likes to read and keeps busy with family and friends, and his 4 year old nephew, Sebastian.
